O Wisdom, you came forth from the mouth of
the Most High and, reaching from beginning to end, you ordered all things
mightily and sweetly. Come, and teach us the way of prudence.
Today's O Antiphon starts at the beginning - at Creation - where Wisdom was present with God. Wisdom is the foundation of fear of the Lord and holiness or right living. Wisdom comes to teach us prudence.
O come, Thou Wisdom from on high,
Who orderest all things mightily;
To us the path of knowledge show,
And teach us in her ways to go.
